Top Class Riddim – U.I.M Records

The Top Class Riddim has that brisk, mid-tempo dancehall stride that U. I. M Records were pushing in 2014, the kind of cut where the bounce stays tight and the bass leaves room for the singers to work. Kim Kelly’s “Plans Fi Yuh” is the one that gives it a little extra shine, and Richie Loop’s “Mek We Love” and Chevaughn’s “Never Leave” keep the energy smooth without losing the rude edge. U. I. M tucked in a full spread of voices too, from Blak Diamon and G Whizz to Melloquence, Propa Fade and Tactical, so the riddim feels like a proper showcase rather than a one-note shuffle. By the time it closes on Tok’s “Tonight, ” the whole project has settled into a clean, radio-ready groove that still carries enough street pressure to hold its own.
