KIRK ARTHUR PRODUCTIONS shaped the sound of 2011 soca with the Tite Choonz Riddim. Known for bringing energetic horn sections and tight rhythms to the genre, this producer has worked behind the scenes on many Caribbean music projects. KIRK ARTHUR PRODUCTIONS is respected for keeping the roots of soca alive while also pushing the music forward. The Tite Choonz Riddim brought together some of the most exciting soca artists of the time. Alison Hinds, often called the “Queen of Soca, ” delivered the energetic track “Explode. ” Hinds is famous for her 2005 hit “Roll It Gal, ” and her powerful voice and stage presence have made her a leader in Caribbean music. Dale added his own flavor with “Wow, ” a song that matched the riddim’s lively spirit. Dale is known in the soca world for his catchy hooks and crowd-pleasing performances. Problem Child also joined the project with “Waistline. ” Problem Child is recognized for his songwriting skills and has written songs for many other artists, as well as his own solo hits. This carnival project became a key part of 2011’s soca playlists.
