Tight Squeeze Overview

The truck anthem base of 2018’s carnival season started in the studio with a strong creative vision. The band leader wanted a sound that would stand out on the road, something that would bring energy to the street parades. Working closely with the producer, XPERT PRODUCTIONS, they built a riddim that was both catchy and powerful. XPERT PRODUCTIONS is known in the Caribbean music scene for shaping the sounds of modern soca. With past projects that have streamed widely and made an impact at festivals, XPERT PRODUCTIONS brought experience and attention to detail to this release. The team made sure every part of the riddim was ready for big speakers and live events. On the Tight Squeeze Riddim, Biggie Irie delivered “Rhythm Of You.” Biggie Irie is a well-known singer from Barbados and won the International Groovy Soca Monarch title in 2007. His smooth delivery brought warmth and emotion to the track, making it a favorite at fetes. Blaxx, another key artist, performed “Gyal Owner.” He is famous for his hit “Leh Go” and is a respected voice in Trinidad and Tobago’s soca scene. His energetic style matched the riddim perfectly, giving dancers something to celebrate. The project, led by XPERT PRODUCTIONS, became a staple on 2018’s carnival playlists, keeping the festival spirit alive across the Caribbean.
