Boot Camp’s Wonderland Riddim comes out of that late-2000s reggae lane where the arrangement does a lot of the talking: clean, melodic, and warm, but with enough bass weight to keep the sound grounded. The lineup pulls a nice spread of voices into the same space, with Frankie Paul and Lutan Fyah giving it the strongest emotional pull, while DYCR, Natural Black, Norrisman, and Lady Patra lean into the lovers-rock side of things. “How Come” by Stevie Face and “Lead Me To Your Door” by Lutan Fyah feel like the cuts that stick closest to the memory, especially with Paul Henton’s version tucked in as the instrumental anchor. Released in 2008, the riddim sits neatly in that period when conscious reggae and lover’s tunes were still sharing the same dancehall space without sounding forced.
