The Pink Panther Riddim – UNKNOWN

Issued in 2015 as a soca release, The Pink Panther Riddim was one of the year’s Grenada Carnival-ready projects and was put together by YTM Recordz and producer Hector “Mr. Legz” Thomas. The six-track set brings together Electrify on Wrong To Give We Rum, Inspector on 473, Lavaman on Doh Play With Jab, Mr. Legz HT on Fleek, Wassy K on In Ah Time Like This, and Zingo on Banana, with Lavaman’s Doh Play With Jab often singled out as the key cut. It arrived during a busy run for Mr. Legz, who was also behind the Accordion and Boss riddims that year, and the release leans into a jab jab, uptempo feel that made it a neat fit for Spicemas season.
