THE CASTRIES HARBOR RIDDIM produced by SLAUGHTER ARTS MEDIA 2012
The Castries Harbor Overview
In 2012, soca fans across the Caribbean and beyond found a new favorite with The Castries Harbor Riddim. The journey of this island beat began in the studio, where the music arranger worked closely with the producer, SLAUGHTER ARTS MEDIA. Known for their sharp production style, SLAUGHTER ARTS MEDIA had already made a name in Caribbean music circles, producing several popular riddims and helping to push soca music to a wider audience. The Castries Harbor Riddim was built on lively drums and catchy melodies, designed to bring people together on the dance floor. Once the foundation was set, top soca artists were invited to add their voices. Nicole David brought her energy to the track "Mauvais Mess," a song that quickly caught the attention of DJs. Trevlyn And Shurwayne Winchester, both respected in the genre, delivered "Mash Up Everything," adding even more excitement. Shurwayne Winchester, in particular, is known for his hit "Dead or Alive," a Road March winner, and has a strong following in Trinidad and Tobago. Fya Empress joined with "Rum Please," a song that celebrates the joyful spirit of carnival. She later teamed up with Fya Ann Lyons for "Rum Please (Remix) Ft. Fya Ann Lyons," giving the riddim another twist. Fya Ann Lyons, who is known for her work in soca and calypso, added her unique vocals to the remix. With The Castries Harbor Riddim, SLAUGHTER ARTS MEDIA delivered a true soca anthem, giving DJs a powerful track to spin and uniting fans in celebration.
