THE BEACH RIDDIM 2013

The Beach (2013) Release Details

Sheltter’s “Bien Pegado” gives The Beach Riddim its sharpest hook, and that’s fitting for a cut that leans into breezy but still hard-edged 2002-style dancehall. Rohan Fuller’s production, under the Jah Snowcone banner, already had a way of pairing clean, sunlit melodies with rougher street energy, and this 2013 post pulls that same thread with a tighter little lineup: Mr Face’s “Move Your Body” keeps the tempo moving, while MB’s “Contigo” brings a more melodic Latin-leaning touch. Compared with the larger Beach release from the Jah Snowcone camp, this one feels stripped back and more selective, like a small-side reissue of the idea rather than a full-party comp. It sits neatly in that label’s catalogue as a compact reminder of how a good riddim can travel with just a few strong voicings.

The Beach Tracklist:

  1. Sheltter – Bien Pegado
  2. Mr Face – Move Your Body
  3. MB – Contigo
