THANKS FOR LIFE RIDDIM produced by WALSHY FIRE 2018
Thanks For Life Overview
Back in 2018, reggae fans got a real treat with a roots anthology that brought big sounds to the dance. This was the time when classic reggae vibes were mixing with new energy, and sound systems loved it. The producer behind this riddim was WALSHY FIRE. He’s known for being a member of Major Lazer, a group that helped bring Caribbean music to the world stage. WALSHY FIRE has worked with many top artists and is respected for blending old and new reggae styles. The artists on this riddim each brought their own flavor. Blessed gave us “Money Don't Grow Pon Trees,” a song that talks about real life and hard work. Blessed is a Canadian reggae artist who once won a Juno Award for Reggae Recording of the Year. Buzzrock came in with “Something New,” keeping the roots reggae feeling strong. Cocoa Tea, famous for his hit “Rikers Island” and his smooth voice, sang “Mad House” on this cut. Exile Di Brave added “Won't Waste My Time,” showing his thoughtful lyrics. Hamali delivered “System,” a track with powerful messages about society. Each artist stayed true to their style, making the riddim rich and full. This dub cut became a favorite in 2018, filling sound systems with culture and connecting old-school reggae with today’s generation.
