TALLAWAH RIDDIM produced by LARGER THAN LIFE RECORDS 2013
Tallawah Overview
The Tallawah Riddim was released in 2013, adding a strong roots reggae sound to that year’s collection of reggae music. The project came from Jamaica, a country known for its deep reggae traditions. Larger Than Life Records produced and arranged the riddim, continuing their work as a label focused on authentic reggae and dancehall releases. The label has built a reputation for supporting both new and established artists in the genre. Several well-known reggae artists contributed to the Tallawah Riddim. Luciano performed "Bless My Soul." He is famous for his uplifting songs and has been called "The Messenjah." Luciano’s long career includes classic albums like "Where There Is Life" and collaborations with many reggae legends. Pressure delivered "Most Beautiful Girl" on this riddim. The artist, from the U.S. Virgin Islands, is known for his hit "Love and Affection," which became a reggae anthem in 2007. Exco Levi added "Wheat And Tears." Exco Levi is a five-time Juno Award winner for Reggae Recording of the Year, showing his influence in the Canadian reggae scene. Droop Lion’s "Time For Love" brought a passionate roots vocal style to the project. Bobby Hustle contributed "Never Walk Alone," adding his unique voice to the line-up. The release also includes "Tallawah Riddim Version" by Larger Than Life Records, letting listeners enjoy the instrumental riddim itself. This release captured the energy and heart of 2013 roots reggae, with each artist bringing their own message and style over the classic reggae rhythm.
