Warm pulse. Own Mission Records keeps Sun Riddim moving with a clean roots-reggae swing, and the little surprise is how naturally the voices sit over it: Jah Mason’s “Protect” leans into the militant edge, while Matthew McAnuff’s “Di Herbs” and Turbulence’s “Yes Selassie” give the set its most vivid, herb-conscious lift. Prince Alla’s “Mr President” adds that veteran weight, and Rod Taylor’s “Name” keeps the conscious mood pointed rather than preachy. It’s a slim six-cut selection, but that’s part of the charm here; Own Mission lets the rhythm breathe and leaves enough space for each singer to land their line.
