Penthouse’s Strong Love Riddim leans into that warm, late-night reggae feel the label was so good at in the early 2000s, with a breezy pulse that leaves plenty of room for vocals to breathe. Beres Hammond’s “Real Love” is the heart of it, all tenderness and that easy authority he brings when he’s in loverman mode, while “Strong Love” pairs him with Cutty Ranks for a sharper contrast, the deejay grit playing nicely off Beres’ smoothness.
