Stressless Riddim – Suspectz Production

Kardi Tivali sets the tone on Stressless Riddim with “Dark And Stubbaan, ” and the fact that it comes in both raw and radio versions tells you this Suspectz Production set was aiming squarely at dancehall selectors as much as casual listeners. The 2013 juggling is a compact one, with just six artists across seven cuts, and Sizzla’s “Doing It Right” sits right in the middle as the anchor. Rich Rass, Saige, Lawzah and Bastic each get a turn, but the riddim keeps circling back to Kardi Tivali’s chant. It’s a lean, no-frills piece of work from Suspectz Production, with the emphasis on hard drums, a steady bass pulse and enough room for the vocals to cut clean through the mix.
