By 2018, soca was leaning hard into compact, DJ-friendly riddims, and Stick Sweetie fits that moment with seven short cuts running just about 24 minutes across the set. Fox Fuse keeps the production bright and percussive, with a clean groove that leaves room for the vocals to carry the hooks rather than crowding them out. Chanique’s “Keep Sheltering, ” Fya Empress’ “Soca Calling, ” and Denis Bowman’s “Bartender” give the project its most immediate pull, while Tony Rebel Bailey’s “Now” adds a slightly tougher edge to the line-up.
