Dennis “Judge” Browne gives Space Age Riddim its first real lift, and Music4life Records keeps the whole set moving with a clean 2014 roots-reggae frame that’s more melody and message than brute-force pulse. The cut list leans into lovers rock and conscious turns: Ed Robinson’s “Don’T Cry For Me, ” Jay Williams’ “Can I Love You Forever! , ” and Island Rose with Rasta Dawn on “Love Can’T Done” all pull the riddim toward warm, easy sway, while Claude 9’s “Message From Mars” and Micah Shalom’s “Herb Albert” add a lighter, slightly quirky edge.
