SOUNDPARK RIDDIM produced by SHC RECORDS 2019
Soundpark Overview
In 2019, the roots reggae scene got a fresh boost with a dub release built around the “Soundpark Riddim.” This riddim blended old-school reggae with touches from other genres, making it stand out. The earthy drum and bass lines gave it a classic reggae feel, but there were also hints of soul and hip-hop in the arrangements. This mix kept the music grounded in roots while still sounding new. Gappy Ranks, known for his hit “Heaven In Her Eyes,” brought his powerful voice to “Up’s & Downs.” His performance added real emotion to the riddim. Rsny delivered “Blessings,” using smooth flows and melodies that showed reggae’s connection to rap and R&B. Williamz, who has made a name in the UK reggae scene, got the party moving with “Party Start.” Each artist gave the riddim their own flavor, but the roots vibe stayed strong. Duane Stephenson teamed up with Seanie Tee for “Never Lose Your Soul.” Duane is famous for his song “August Town” and his work with Luciano. Their song on this riddim brought a message of hope and strength. Prince Levy’s “Believe In Yourself” added another positive voice, while Jamo, Mikason & Little Kidd Lost kept the energy up with “Keep it Movin.” The dub engineer played a big part, using echo and reverb to create deep, spacious mixes. This gave the riddim even more character. SHC RECORDS, a label with roots in the European reggae scene, produced and released the project.
