Soca Buzz Overview

The energy of the parade season in 2015 started in the studio, where the Soca Buzz Riddim was created. The arranger worked hard to make sure each part of the music fit together, giving the riddim a strong, festival-ready sound. Every instrument and beat was put together to keep the flow moving, just like a real parade. The creative direction was clear: make music that would keep people dancing from the start to the end of the festival. The arranger wanted every song to feel like a part of the celebration, with rhythms that would power the crowd through the streets. Buffy’s track, "Roll," brought a lively vibe to the collection. Buffy is well known for bringing high energy to soca, and "Roll" was no different. Bunji Garlin added his song "Original Thing." Bunji Garlin is famous for his powerful voice and for winning the International Soca Monarch title in 2002, which made his addition special. Crazy’s "Break Away" gave the riddim a classic touch. Crazy is a veteran in soca music, famous for hits like "Nani Wine." Ray’s "Go Down" added even more excitement, fitting perfectly with the parade mood. Revelation contributed two tracks, "10 To 1" and "Geh Dem," both helping to keep the energy high throughout the collection. This festival collection was heard at many fetes and parades in 2015, and even today, it is still remembered for bringing people together on the road.
