The lineup is lean and memorable: Foxie’s Muscular Man, Irie Fernandez’s title tune So Wonderful, and Vicious Irie’s Late Night Attack each give the riddim a different angle without losing its rough-edged flow. Harry “Big J” Johnson’s 10 Roosevelt Ave output was a key part of the mid-’80s Kingston sound, and this set carries that same unmistakable studio-to-sound-system feel.
