Sky Mileage Riddim – Greenz Connection

Gatez Greenz and DJ Brain set the pace on “Bag, ” the sharper of the two cuts on Greenz Connection’s 2018 Sky Mileage Riddim, a tight little soca project with just enough room for “The Loan” by Links to keep the story moving. The riddim has that clean, road-ready bounce you’d expect from a Carnival-season release, all bright synth accents, clipped percussion and a low end that stays punchy rather than muddy. With only two tracks, there’s no filler to hide behind, so the focus lands on the vocal attitude and the way Greenz Connection keeps the arrangement lean and forward-driving. It’s the kind of compact soca drop that sat neatly inside the Grenada and wider Caribbean party circuit of that period, when short-form riddims were doing plenty of the heavy lifting on the road.
