SKIN OUT RIDDIM produced by BLACK IDENTITY RECORDS 2012
Skin out Overview
In 2012, dancehall fans across the world found a new anthem for their late-night parties. The Skin Out Riddim, created by a talented yard-based riddim maker, quickly became the sound behind countless dance floors. The journey started in a small Kingston studio, where the creative energy was high and the goal was clear: to craft a beat that would get people moving from the first note. At the center of this project was BLACK IDENTITY RECORDS, a label respected for its sharp ear for dancehall talent and its ability to push local sounds to international ears. With a history of supporting both new and established artists, BLACK IDENTITY RECORDS had already built a solid reputation in the scene by 2012. The riddim itself came alive with the voices of standout artists. Kingsound Pro and Loud H teamed up for "Kabhebhi Kangu," bringing raw energy and a catchy hook that stuck with listeners. Ras Lalo, known for his dynamic performances, took the riddim global with "Lalo In London." Badman brought his signature style to "Mbiri Nepot," while Fany Gee closed the set with "She Me One To The End," a track that quickly became a favorite among partygoers. Each song added a new layer to the riddim, turning it into a true bashment staple. The release proved once again that Jamaica’s studios could shape the sound of a year, and that the right riddim could unite dancers from Kingston to London.
