Showtime Biz Riddim – Victorious Entertainment 1999
Showtime Biz Overview
Back in 1998, a new dancehall riddim hit the streets and dancehalls of Jamaica. This was the Showtime Biz riddim, a beat that quickly became a favorite for its hard-hitting bass and catchy hooks. The riddim brought the real energy of yard parties and street dances, and soon everyone knew its sound. Several artists made their mark on the Showtime Biz riddim. Diligent stood out with the track “Empress,” bringing a smooth but powerful delivery that caught the ears of many. Fire Archie, known for his strong performances, added “Clarendon,” a song that connected with fans in his home parish and beyond. MK Teflon, another skilled deejay, brought “Smoking” to the table, showing his unique style and flow. Nophaer’s “Ussiler” and Notorious with “Left Mi Business” added more flavor, each artist giving their own touch to the riddim. Notorious is known in the dancehall world for his work on several popular riddims, and his track “Left Mi Business” kept his reputation growing. Fire Archie, with “Clarendon,” continued to build on his name, especially with fans from central Jamaica. Behind the scenes, the mixing board king made sure every track sounded sharp and full of life. The producer, if known, would have been the one to create the riddim’s signature bounce and keep the energy high on every song. The street anthem base of the Showtime Biz riddim became a real touchstone for dancehall in 1998.
