Shades Riddim – Hypeyardz Productions

Hypeyardz Productions packed Shades Riddim with eight vocal cuts and the instrumental version, so this one feels more like a proper dancer’s selector piece than a loose one-off showcase. The lineup jumps from the tougher talk of 5 Star’s Clean and Teff’s Hypocrite to the lighter club pressure of Corry Dip and Danz Of Danz, while Windem’s title tune and the remix with Zoorass and 5 Star give the riddim its clearest identity. It’s a 2012 dancehall production with that sharp, minimal late-night pulse you’d expect from the era, keeping space for each artist’s style to cut through without crowding the mix. King Afrika’s Take You There feat. Nudie Tone and Young Image adds one more layer of contrast before the straight Version closes it out.
