Scream Riddim (2010) – Out Deh Records

Out Deh Records keeps Scream Riddim in a straight-ahead dancehall pocket, with a lean seven-cut lineup and a version cut tucked right in the middle of the sequence. Flexx and Singing Sweet’s “Hard For Her Money” is the ear-catcher here, but Kibaki’s “Hey Woman” and Tapia Explicit’s “The Way We Flex” give the riddim its grit and street-level swagger. There’s a rough, chanting energy running through the project rather than anything too polished, which fits the way Out Deh was handling its 2010 output.
