Gregory Isaacs produced Sacrifice Riddim for Cash And Carry in 1978, a three-cut set that pairs his own Sacrifice with Prince Far I’s Health Warning and the dub cut Doberman Skank. It comes out of Isaacs’ Mr. Isaacs era, when he was balancing lovers rock warmth with sharper, more social writing, and that tension runs through this release as well. Prince Far I’s deep deejay delivery adds a harder edge, while the dub version rounds the session out with a stripped, bass-heavy finish.
