Rum Cup Overview
The Rum Cup Riddim compilation arrived in 2013, released by GARO RECORDS. This dancehall project quickly became a favorite at parties and clubs, especially in Jamaica and among dancehall fans worldwide. The energy and sound of the riddim made it stand out during its time. The compilation featured several strong artists. Shenko brought his track “Any Time Mi Step,” giving the riddim a confident and catchy vibe. Iyara, who is recognized for his work with Bounty Killer’s Alliance group, contributed two songs: “When Gal Waa Fuck” and “Gal Waa Get Touch.” Kibaki, who once collaborated with Vybz Kartel on the hit “Go Go Club,” joined the compilation with “Dem Fi Know.” Other tracks included Hyah Slyce Ft. Ras Don I with “Here We Go,” and Big Wayne Ft. Anthony Que with “It’S A Party.” Anthony Que also appeared solo with “It’S A Party.” GARO RECORDS, the producer behind the riddim, has a history of supporting up-and-coming artists and pushing the dancehall sound forward.
