Rise Up Overview
In 2014, reggae music saw a special release from ONENESS RECORDS. This label, based in Germany, is known for working with both established and rising reggae artists. ONENESS RECORDS has helped bring European and Jamaican reggae together, and their productions have reached listeners worldwide. The “Rise Up Riddim” project brought together several respected artists. Buju Banton, one of reggae’s most famous voices, recorded “Suffer So” for this release. Buju Banton is well known for hits like “Destiny” and has won a Grammy Award for Best Reggae Album in 2011. His song on this riddim shows his deep, powerful style.
