RIDDIM FOR D ROAD RIDDIM produced by RICH PERSAD PRODUCTION 2014
Riddim For D Road Riddim – Rich Persad Production Overview
Back in 2014, soca fans across the islands couldn’t stop talking about one special compilation. This was the year when RICH PERSAD PRODUCTION put out a festival groove that became the sound of Carnival. The journey started in the studio, where the producer, known for bold rhythms and clean mixes, wanted to create something that would keep people jumping from start to finish. RICH PERSAD PRODUCTION had already built a name in Caribbean music, with several soca projects that brought fresh energy to the scene. The riddim they created was called “Riddim For The Road Riddim Instrumental.” It set the stage for the whole compilation, giving each song a bright and powerful base. The first song, “Bam Bam” by Zan, quickly became a crowd favorite. Zan, who is also known for his work with Machel Montano on the hit “Hold You Down,” brought his smooth style and catchy hooks to the track. Next up was “Till Morning” by Stefan Jaxx. Stefan Jaxx’s voice and energy made the song a must-play at every fete. Then came “Chip” by Ki. Ki is well known in the soca world, especially for his song “Single Forever,” which won the Chutney Soca Monarch in 2012. On “Chip,” he delivered the same lively spirit that fans love. Together, these songs made the compilation a festival anthem. For many, 2014 Carnival memories are forever tied to this groove, and the work of RICH PERSAD PRODUCTION and these artists still gets people dancing today.
