Retork Riddim comes out of that mid-2000s dancehall pocket where the rhythms were getting sharper, leaner and more percussive, and this one keeps the pressure on without overcomplicating things. Lusdy’s “Money Time” and Methy’s “Pa Sav” ride it with a clipped, streetwise energy, while Saik’s “Slackness” leans into the tougher edge of the pattern. Tiwony’s “Kay Ka Fèt” closes the set on a sharper, more melodic note, and the instrumental underneath all four cuts leaves the cleanest impression: a lean, driving groove with enough space for the vocals to jab through.
