Reloaded Riddim – Rocco Prod

By the time Rocco Prod rolled out Reloaded Riddim in 2021, the producer already had a compact, voice-heavy dancehall set on his hands: 12 tracks, 11 different artists, and just enough room for a quick megamix tag at the end. The riddim leans into a lean, punchy bashment pulse rather than anything overly polished, with Djo Black’s “I Pa Ni 4, ” X Man and Simsima’s “Fo Sound Boy, ” and Fodel’s “An 6eme” carrying the sharper cuts in the pack. The collaborators keep the energy moving without overcrowding the groove, and the one-song team-up on “Ho Baby” adds a nice bit of contrast before X Man’s “Halftro” flashes by as the briefest moment on the set. It closes out with “Megamix, ” which neatly sums up the project’s no-frills, road-ready feel.
