Relapse Riddim – Uim Records

UIM Records’ Relapse Riddim sits neatly in that wave of early-2010s dancehall juggling releases where the label set the pace and a small but sharp lineup did the rest. The cut first surfaced in late 2013, with mixes and promo posts appearing in December before the compilation landed more widely the following January. Alkaline’s “Baby” and Bugle’s “Age” give the riddim its strongest pull, while Shawn Storm, Nicky B and Blak Diamon keep the energy tight around a brassy, forward-moving instrumental. UIM keeps the sequencing lean too: the vocal cuts move through the set without much filler, then drop back to the instrumental at the end, which makes the producer’s hand easy to hear and the riddim’s structure feel deliberate.
