Trainline Records keeps Reggae Fiery Riddim in a clean, rootsy lane rather than chasing anything flashy, and that restraint is what gives the little four-track set its pull. Anthony B’s “Good Bye Forever” brings the most force, his voice cutting through the groove with the kind of blunt, seasoned authority he’s been known for, while Luciano teams up with King Banton on “Know Yuh Self” for a more reflective cut that leans into the song’s conscious edge. Pressure’s “Lost Without Your Love” softens the mood a touch, and Tydal closes it out on a more straightforward lovers-rock tip with “Im In Love. ” Released in 2016, it’s a compact juggling that feels very much of that era: modest in size, but tight enough to keep spinning.
