Reflection Riddim – Drumwise / Greenstone

Drumwise keeps this one moving with a clean 11-track juggling that feels rooted in modern roots reggae but light on its feet, with voices from Peetah Morgan, Jemere Morgan, Inna Vision, Fiji and The Steppas giving the riddim plenty of different shades. Released on July 30, 2021, Reflection Riddim was put together by Calvin Canha under the Drumwise / Greenstone banner, and it plays like a producer-led showcase rather than a loose pile of singles. The sequencing has a nice arc too: Siaosi opens with “Lightaz, ” the Morgan family thread gives the middle a warm center, and the Fiji pairing on “Rock and Groove” pushes into the final stretch before Sheldon Palmer and Lorenzo West close it out with “Till Shiloh Come. ”
