Cherry Riddim comes in light on its feet, with an easy skank and a bright, springy pulse that keeps the bassline moving without ever feeling rushed. Roommate sits at the center of it all on Avocaudio, the Los Angeles label he runs as both producer and outlet for friends, and that setup gives the project a close, in-the-pocket feel. Rastaveli MC’s “Weed Satisfaction VIP” leans into the looser, dubwise side of the riddim, while Mello Banton and Jah Circle push “The Time Is Right” toward a more uplifted, message-heavy lane. Roommate’s own title cut ties it together neatly, and the whole three-track set landed in March 2021.
