By 2005, Red Dragon Music was already deep in the juggling game, and Red Bull Riddim slots neatly into that run with a tough, no-nonsense dancehall cut that leans on sharp percussion and a heavy bassline. Assassin’s “Not Bad Enough” comes off with the kind of clipped authority that suits the rhythm, while Bling Dawg’s “More Life No Guns” keeps circling one idea in both edit and raw form, giving the set a little extra bite. Daville’s “Missing You” softens the edges without losing the groove, and Vybz Kartel’s “Have Ambition” pushes the rhythm back toward the dancehall center. With Wayne Marshall and Wayne Wonder also in the mix, this one lands as a solid snapshot of mid-2000s sound-system pressure, right down to the extra versions and the clean/raw split that was so common at the time.
