Flyweh Records came with a lean, six-cut dancehall juggling here, and the title says enough: this is all heat and pressure, with the whole set pushing a hard-edged, militant feel rather than chasing anything melodic. Louis X opens with “Getting Tougher, ” Jakhal follows on “Him Nuh Know Me, ” and UT Ras rides the taut “High Voltage” with the kind of clipped delivery that suits the riddim’s tense momentum. Jah Link’s “Yuh Love Mi Badly” and Frass Nova’s “Badman” keep the energy in that hardcore lane, while the producer’s own instrumental version closes the package and lets the bare rhythm do its work. If there’s a track that leaves the sharpest mark, it’s UT Ras on “High Voltage, ” which sits right in the pocket of the riddim’s stern, uptempo drive.
