RAGGA MUFFIN POWER RIDDIM produced by UNDISPUTED RECORDS / FURYBASS 2015
Ragga Muffin Power Overview
The dub version of the Ragga Muffin Power Riddim started in the studio with a focus on classic reggae sounds. The producer wanted to keep the energy relaxed and positive, using live instruments and deep bass. Every layer was carefully added to make sure the riddim felt both modern and true to its reggae roots. The creative direction came from the sound system culture. The producer behind this set, UNDISPUTED RECORDS / FURYBASS, is known for bringing together artists from different parts of the reggae world. The label has worked on several riddims and has gained respect for keeping the classic reggae sound alive. Their projects often get strong support in reggae communities and on streaming platforms. Now, looking at the artists, each one brings something special. Skarra Mucci’s track, "Sound Killer," stands out with his powerful delivery. Skarra Mucci is known for his energetic performances and has worked with many top producers in Europe and Jamaica. Tippa Irie delivers "Another Day, Another City" with his signature fast chat style. Tippa Irie is a veteran from the UK scene and had a hit with "Hello Darling" in the 1980s. Yami Bolo’s "Babylon System" adds a roots message. Yami Bolo is respected for his spiritual lyrics and once won the Jamaican Reggae Award for Best Male Vocalist. Spectacular & David Slew join forces on "Back Against The Wall," bringing a duet style that fits the riddim’s mood. Joseph Cotton & Sr.
