1970’s Psychedelic Train Riddim on Crystal gathers Derrick Harriott’s own Psychedelic Train with The Chosen Few alongside Scotty’s Clean Race and The Crystalites’ Psychedelic Train (Part 2) and Version Train, giving the rhythm a tight early-reggae feel with vocal and instrumental cuts running in parallel. Produced by Derrick Harriott for his Crystal label, it’s a neat snapshot of his run of chart-friendly Jamaican sides from that period, with Scotty’s later Clean Race extending the same rhythm into 1972 and keeping the set connected across a couple of years.
