Pressure Riddim – Ackboo

2014’s Dancehall release Pressure Riddim finds Ackboo steering an eight-track EP on Tanta Records, with a mix of familiar collaborators and one fresh link-up that helps the project move beyond a standard one-riddim set. Taiwan MC’s Quality, S’Kaya’s Who A The Roughest, Green Cross on Cream Of The Crop, and Malone Rootikal’s Burn It are among the key cuts, while Art-X’s Pressurized Melodica adds a dubby twist to the package. Ackboo, the Toulouse producer behind the whole set, had just followed up his Turn Up The Amplifier album, and here he folds the vocals around a heavy instrumental that closes with the original Pressure Riddim version.
