Irie Ites kept this one tight and tasteful, pairing King Kong’s title tune with Junior ‘Trinity’ Brammer’s “Cool Out Son” and then letting Calvin “So So” Francis and Jericho stretch the instrumentals into dub versions that give the whole thing a warm, rootsy pull. Released on 24 May 2019, the set also has a neat little wrinkle in the way Trinity is billed here under his singing name, Junior Brammer, a reminder of how long he’s been able to move between toast and melody without losing character. King Kong’s “Pree The Money” sets the tone early, but “Cool Out Son” is the cut that opens the project up, especially with the two dub mixes trailing it. Six tracks total, pressed as a 12-inch and issued digitally, with the production credited to Irie Ites Records.
