CDV Productions kept Life Essence Riddim in a tight lane, pairing the 2019 reggae juggling with just four voices and letting each cut breathe. Hyer Dan opens with “She’s Gone, ” a plaintive lead that sets the tone, while Shawn J’s “Free” and Jahci Kole’s “First Lady” lean into the more uplifting side of the riddim.
