Popoca Riddim – Playah Syndicate Records

Popoca Riddim, produced by Playah Syndicate Records, arrived in 2014 as a tight two-song soca release featuring Sadiki and Vershon. The selection pairs Sadiki’s Gyal Wuk with Vershon’s Fire (Re Up), giving the riddim a compact, vocal-driven feel rather than a broad compilation. Vershon’s cut is the better-known track on the set, while Sadiki’s contribution helps round out the package with a similar party-ready energy. Playah Syndicate Records kept the focus on clean, straightforward production, making Popoca Riddim a short but memorable slice of mid-2010s soca with just enough bounce to carry both songs.
