Patrol 3000 Riddim – Ikno Sound Records

Ikno Sound Records kept Patrol 3000 Riddim tight and local in 2014, cutting just three tracks and leaning into a sharp, digital-raggamuffin feel rather than crowding the thing out. Nerone’s “Twerkaring” sits right in that pocket, brisk and cheeky, while Ras Pacino’s “Is Hard” and Fyah Man’s “Maledetta Tecnologia” push the same rhythm in two different directions, one tougher, one more playful. It’s the kind of compact Italian dancehall document that says plenty without needing a long guest list, and the whole set runs like a small snapshot of where Ikno Sound were headed after their earlier Herb Field work.
