So It Set Riddim – Young Generation Music Group

2014 was one of those years when reggae riddims were leaning clean and melodic, and So It Set fits right into that pocket with a compact six-track set from Young Generation Music Group. Ce’Cile’s “No Pay” and Richie Loop’s “Stripper” do a lot of the heavy lifting here, with the former coming off sharp and cheeky while the latter keeps the energy a little looser and more playful. La Ren’s “Closer” adds a smoother turn, and Sparo Blaxx’s title tune carries the riddim’s identity without overcomplicating things. At just six songs and around 15 minutes long, it’s a quick 24 June 2014 release that feels made for DJs and fans who like their reggae tidy, hooky, and easy to spin back.
