Nylon Blend Riddim – Wiletunes

Wiletunes kept Nylon Blend in that sharp, mid-2010s dancehall pocket where a bare-bones rhythm and a strong vocal hook do most of the work. The release is dated 2013, and it sits in the Wiletunes catalogue as one of several artist-driven juggling projects from the label that year. Ward 21’s Kunley is tied to the production credit, which fits the crew’s long-running reputation for hard-edged dancehall programming and cheeky streetwise writing.

The riddim itself is taut and club-ready, with a bouncy, percussive swing that leaves plenty of room for the deejays to ride the pocket and stack catchy one-liners on top.
