NS Music Enterprises doesn’t overpack Nuh Hard Fi Duh Riddim, but the lineup has enough bite to keep it moving, with eight cuts in all and a neat little spread of voices across the same 2013 dancehall swing. Mr. Lexx’s “Wine And Dip” comes in with the kind of straightforward party muscle you’d want from a title like this, while Teflon gets two spins on “Pedal” and gives the riddim one of its sharper hooks in both clean and raw form. J Capri’s “Nuh Hard” is the other cut that lingers, carrying the project’s cheeky, minimal-gimmick energy without overdoing it. Gage, Frassman and Iq round out the set, but this one is really about the groove holding steady while each artist leans into the same teasing, dancefloor-ready idea.
