You can never get enough from reggae crooners Christopher Martin and Romain Virgo as they drop their latest music video for ‘Glow’. The track follows their other single, ‘Leave Peoples Business Alone’ released in 2018.
Glow comes off Top Spot Riddim released by Maximum Sound earlier on in the year in May. The riddim also features artists including Busy Signal, J. Lil, Krysie, Mr Vegas, D Major and The Kemist.
Romain and Chris team up in this feel good, uplifting jam that speaks about overcoming life’s pressures and having confidence. Chris kicks off the track by singing about not letting anyone steal your joy with Romain continuing on the same note echoing not to let anybody steal your energy.
The combination of the two artists works very well as they have unique voices that compliment each other. Judging from their first collaborative tracks a duet album would not be such a bad idea.
The Digicel Rising Star winners of 2003 and 2007 have certainly lived up to peoples expectations. Chris Martin, winner in 2003 has had huge success with his conscious vibes with tracks like Paper Loving in 2010 on Cardiac Bass Riddim and Cheaters Prayer in 2017. Similarly, Romain, 2007s winner, has also been a stand out participant in the reggae genre with hit songs like Soul Provider in 2015 and Lover Doctor in 2015 for which he is also now affectionately known as.
The reggae community as mentioned earlier cannot get enough of this pair and we await more tracks together. Maybe a song for the ladies is what is next as they both have a way of serenading them. The colorful video with them walking around Kingston leaves a refreshing touch that should appeal to most. Nothing too flashy but it works as its suits their personalities very well.
