In 2018, the studio was alive with energy as the New Wave Riddim took shape. Producers and artists came together to create a true party atmosphere, blending hardcore deejay lyrics with smooth, catchy vocals. The goal was to capture the feeling of a dancehall night—full of movement, excitement, and vibes. At the center of this project was NECO MUSIC, a producer known for his creative vision. NECO MUSIC has built a name in the dancehall scene, working with several rising talents and shaping fresh sounds for modern listeners. His label has helped launch new artists, and his riddims often get played at parties and on radio across Jamaica. Each artist on the New Wave Riddim brought their own style. Beez Heightz delivered “Ever Have A Gyal,” showing his skill with clever lyrics and a memorable hook. Don Pree added his voice with “Ntn Nuh Worry Me,” building on his reputation from earlier works like “Up Move,” which got attention on local charts. Fiercee1’s track “Annointed” stood out with its confident delivery and positive message. Firenie’s “Inna Jamaica” painted a picture of life on the island, bringing real Jamaican flavors to the project. King Strickah rounded out the line-up with “One Day,” adding a thoughtful and hopeful touch. The New Wave Riddim became a touchstone of dancehall culture in 2018.
