The Nah Give Up Riddim brought together some well-known reggae voices in the year 2000. Babatunde, Luciano, Mikey General, Natural Black, and Shadowman all recorded songs for this project. Luciano, famous for hits like “Sweep Over My Soul,” added his powerful voice to “Nah Give Up.” Mikey General, who often worked alongside Luciano and is known for conscious reggae songs, brought energy with “Si Dem A Come.” Babatunde gave us “Back & Belly Rat,” while Natural Black, known for his song “Far From Reality,” delivered “Seek Jah More.” Shadowman completed the lineup with “Empress Of The Earth.” The dub cut on this riddim was special. It connected the modern songs back to reggae’s roots, using echo and effects to give the music a deep, classic sound. This was all guided by QALABAH MUSIC, a producer and label with a reputation for fresh reggae releases.
