Warm pulse, clean cut. My Life Riddim moves with that late-2000s reggae swing that sat just between rootsy ease and radio-ready polish, leaving enough space for the hook singers to work while the groove keeps a soft, steady push underneath. Christopher Martin’s “Man A Man, ” Demarco’s “Mama Love, ” and Konshens’ “Music” do a lot of the heavy lifting here, each one leaning into a different angle of the same reflective mood, while D Major and Voicemail add a sharper edge and Aisha Davis gives the set its title track. The production is credited in the 2008 run, and the inclusion of a full version cut makes it feel like the kind of riddim pack that was still very much the lifeblood of Jamaican releases at the time.
