Moving Riddim – Di Genius Records

Di Genius Records’ Moving Riddim arrived in 2012 with a roots-leaning, song-focused set that pulled in Jah Cure, Anthony B, Marcia Griffiths, J Boog, Freddie McGregor, Chris Martin, and Lutan Fyah. The juggling also includes Di Genius’ own Need My Love, plus Chino’s Boom Draw, which was issued in a clean radio version as well. Stephen “Di Genius” McGregor, best known for his work out of the Big Ship camp, keeps the production crisp and melodic here, giving the riddim a more reflective feel than a lot of the harder-edged dancehall of the period.
