Moonlight Riddim – Ancient Records

Moonlight Riddim from Ancient Records keeps things tight and focused, with just two cuts carrying the whole 2016 project. Aidonia’s “Better (Raw)” is the one that really grabs you, leaning into his sharp, no-nonsense delivery over a dark, late-night dancehall pull, while JAYDS teams with Kim Kelly on “Stranger” for a smoother, more melodic counterpoint. That second track also has a little extra weight knowing JAYDS was working with Onton Mitchell on the production side, and the whole thing runs like a small, self-contained snapshot rather than a sprawling juggling.
